Welcome to the Wil Neumann for NC Senate Website!

Wil

As a community leader and small businessman, Wil Neumann has been a member of the following Boards of Directors: Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gaston Family Health Services (serving as president for five consecutive years), Gaston Community Healthcare Commission and Community Health Partners. In addition, he took an active part in the Gaston County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Gaston Class and is a graduate of the Gaston County Citizens’ Police Academy. He has been appointed to two county boards by the Gaston County Commissioners.

In addition, Neumann serves as a member of Pathways' Community Task Force on Natural Resources to seek alternatives for mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse consumers in lieu of continued reliance on the formal Medicaid system for support.  "Gaston County's Medicaid costs for Community Based Services increased by 88% in one year and is by far the highest in the state" according to Neumann.  Reform efforts already implemented have led to reductions in the programs cost and Neumann intends to be active in the improvements in the system.

"Wil", as he is known to his friends, and his wife, Heather have two young boys and are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Gastonia. He is a 36-year Gaston County resident and a graduate of Ashbrook High School. He graduated from Gaston College in 1982, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984 and received an MBA from Pfeiffer University in 1998.
